Tajaddod-Youth members will participate in the first open-air Town-Hall meeting organized by the Civil Campaign for Electoral Reform (CCER) in  Bhamdoun, on Friday, August 29^th at 6:00 PM.

During the meeting, CCER experts will explain the electoral reforms that the Lebanese civil society has long been advocating for, and that were contained in the draft electoral law submitted by the Fouad Boutros commission in June 2006. There will also be stands where people can check CCER’s online election simulator, the new pre-printed voting ballots and sign letters calling on Lebanese MPs to include these reforms in the next electoral law.

CCER experts will also talk about the role they have been playing since June 23^rd within the Administration & Justice parliamentary committee, which has secured the adoption by the committee of various critical electoral reforms.

Tajaddod-Youth joins CCER in inviting its members, supporters and friends, to attend the Bhamdoun meeting and all other regional meetings organized by CCER.

Tajaddod-Youth member Nour al-Jalbout was selected by the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs among 13 young Arab bright ladies involved in politics to attend the “Young Women Leaders Academy” in Qatar in July 2008.

International consultants and experts trained participants on the newest political campaign techniques.

Nour al-Jalbout will share her experience with Tajaddod-Youth members on Wednesday, August 27^th.

Tajaddod-Youth member Ali Charafeddine is participating in the HEWARNA PROJECT, organized by the Association for Forests, Development & Conservation (AFDC), from August 22^nd through August 24^th.

“Hewarna Project“, funded by the European Union and managed by Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform, aims at creating an environment for constructive dialogue and improving communication between young Lebanese people of different political and religious leanings by arranging dialogue series and equipping them with skills they need to do so successfully. 

“Hewarna Project” consists of three large outdoor ropes and obstacle courses and seven indoor activities installed at the Mediterranean Forest Development and Conservation Center of Lebanon.
