    Picture of the Day: Lebanon’s World Cup-Mania

    Lebanese cars and balconies have been invaded lately by flags of Germany, Brazil, Spain, France and other countries playing in the upcoming World Cup in South Africa. Seeing a Lebanese flag is so rare in the midst of this World Cup-mania.

    Armand Homsi in An-Nahar (May 16, 2010) cleverly points out to a sad reality: Lebanese flags are only raised when “something happens”, i.e. assassinations, demonstrations, etc.
