Picture Of The Day: Observer Mission Suspended
The Arab League decided to suspend the work of the observer mission in Syria, despite having renewed it’s mandate for a month last Saturday. The League cites increased violence and the “critical deterioration” of the situation in Syria. Meanwhile a draft resolution has been submitted at the United Nations Security Council calling for President Bachar al-Assad to cede power to his vice-president. Events in Syria seem to be accelerating as the international community is exerting its pressure on the regime. Are we braced for a regime change soon?
