Picture of the Day: Martyrs Square, for the Sixth Year

For the sixth year, hundreds of thousands of Lebanese marched to Martyrs Square to voice their commitment to Lebanon’s democracy, their rejection of any weapon outside the control of the country’s legitimate military institutions, and their attachment to justice.

May March 14 leaders understand that what happened today in Martyrs Square is not a blank check for them to use it in shady compromises brokered by foreign powers.

May Hezbollah understand that their weapons are the source of the largest divide in Lebanese society.
