    Picture of the Day: Two Years Ago, Democracy was Burning in Beirut

    May 7th 2008 will remain a black spot in Lebanon’s history. Beirut was violated by militias. Press freedom and public liberties were held hostage. The mentality that governed that day is still present in some parties’ minds and they are proving it in their daily speeches through their threatening rhetoric.

    May 7th 2008 is a day to remember. It should serve as an example for what Lebanon should never look like.
